received a 2008 Bike to Work Day Business Challenge Award.
DirectNET ranked first in its home county (Jefferson) in
Category A (businesses up to 29 employees).
Lead by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, Bike to
Work Day encourages friendly competition among Denver area
counties and companies while promoting the personal health and
environmental benefits of bicycle commuting. An estimated 35,000
cyclists participated in this year’s event, a 43% increase over
2007.
The award aligns with DirectNET corporate mission of energy
efficiency. Through its services and consulting arm, the company
educates IT organizations and their parent companies about green
