April 7th, 2006 Denver, Colorado - The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado Inc in conjunction with the Colorado Rockies Charity Fund hosted the Big Ball in the panoramic Seawell Ballroom located in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. It is a benefit designed to celebrate the Partnership formed with corporate supporters, foundations, volunteers, youth and friends. The evening entailed a silent and live auction, program and awards presentations as well as live entertainment.

As a Bronze Level Sponsor, DirectNET hosted a table of ten guests to celebrate the event. Through cash donations and the silent and live auctions, the DirectNET group as a whole raised over $8,000 for the evening. A DirectNET guest was the high bidder of the Puerto Rico Excursion and DirectNET’s own Director of Sales and Operations for the 42U enterprise KVM division, Jon Inaba, donated an In-home Sushi Party and Sushi Class for Twelve.

What started as a naive desire to make a difference in someone’s life, has lead me to realize the “difference” that I was making was as much for my own life, as much as it was for the “Littles” that I have been matched with” says Inaba. “Beyond work, beyond the many hobbies and interests that I have, I believe that my involvement with Big Brothers is what really keeps me human.”
