for a highly motivated, self directed, Engineering Solution Sales

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Starting from leads generated by our HQ office,
investigate and define customer requirements, develop
solution alternatives and consult with customers on the
feasibility and trade-offs of solutions, including
design-build engineering services.
- Become the subject matter expert for our design and
installation services and products
- Support and close sales opportunities generated from
marketing activities
- Develop sales opportunities independently
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications,
manuals and reports as needed to design and plan datacenter
solutions
- Estimate costs for engineering and project management
services
- Identify delivery partners and contractors, consolidate
schedule and pricing into customer proposal
- Participate in vendor sponsored training and industry
events to maintain expertise and develop personal network
Required:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with data
center infrastructure familiarity (power sizing, cooling
needs, capacity planning, etc.)
- Ability to consult with end users, equipment providers
and contractors to scope projects, design efficient and cost
effective solutions, and specify products
- Ability to work with and guide customers from conceptual
solutions with budgetary pricing to specific statements of
work with deliverables, milestones and pricing
- Must possess excellent presentation skills, deep
listening skills, and the ability to communicate with a
variety of styles and levels of business and technical
understanding.
Preferred:
- Five years consultative sales experience
- Datacenter design and build experience, i.e. power and
cooling
- Project Management experience
- Previous experience with energy efficiency initiatives
